Reserve Your Up-Close TourWe welcome school groups and organizations from all over Texas in order to connect educators to fun experiences for their students outside the classroom.
Submit a Zoo Field Trip request form at least seven days in advance or contact the education department at zoo.education@abilenetx.gov to learn more about group rates or any questions you may have. Once you’ve filled out the form you are confirmed for your date unless you hear from a Zoo Educator.
Add on a personal meet and greet with your class inside or Zoo Education Center classrooms! A Zoo Educator will join you during a 20-30-minute educational talk with live animals. Costs $2 per student with a $30 minimum.

Register & Learn MoreJoin us for fun animal adventures at the zoo for 3 and 4-year-olds. All Classes take place in Classroom A, located in the education wing of our administration building, and last 45-60 minutes. Classes involve stories, crafts, and an animal encounter. Admission to the zoo is included.

Rate when paid for in a group in one transaction is $8 per adult and $6.50 for children ages 3-12 years old. Those not paying with the group will pay regular admission rates. The Zoo Field Trip Request Form must be filled out to receive the group rate.
